Isabel received her Master's Degree in Painting from the Escola de Belas Artes do Porto, Portugal and Advanced Studies in Painting at St.Martin's School of Art, London, England.
Isabel lived and worked in Portugal and England before she moved to B.C. She continued teaching and exploring her art through photography, print- making and painting.
Oil is her preferred medium in painting and it is through this medium that she expresses experiences and transforms images and feelings from her surroundings. Light, colour and the moods that they impart in Nature are the inspiration that with her imagination are transmitted to canvas. The act of painting is for her the means to communicate with others.

Isabel has exhibited in Europe and in Canada. Her work is represented in private collections in Europe, U.S.A., Canada, Australia, India and Brazil.
