The making of art is a truly pleasurable and often meditative act for me.
I have learned to be patient and to trust my imagination. I perceive all forms as having inner energy and light, a thought that persists as I paint. I happily distort the real causing my subject to appear somewhat surreal. This twisting of reality compels me and the work. I discover solutions between what I know and what I am to learn.
My compositions vary from nature and the organic, social commentary, to symbolic inner landscapes. Recently, the sounds I make while playing the piano are part and parcel of a renewed interest in exploring and creating abstract expression.
