Nancy Ruhl

In 1996 Nancy started to seriously pursue her interest in art by painting murals and floor cloths with acrylic paint. This interest evolved into working with watercolours, painting land- scapes, flowers and portraits.

Nancy has been a full-time artist since 2003 when she returned to school to study Art and Illustration at Sheridan College, Oakville, Ontario. This formal training improved her technical skills and reinforced her interest in drawing the human form.

"I like to include people in many of my paintings and continue to do life drawing on a regular basis."

Nancy moved to B.C in 2007 and has found the West coast scenery to be very inspiring. Since moving here, her focus has changed from watercolours to acrylic on canvas.

Nancy's work is also shown in No.5 Gallery in Oak Bay, Victoria.
